Our Story

I’m a graduate of the Northern Michigan University hospitality program, and I’ve spent the past several years building a career in outdoor guiding.

I started my career guiding a wide range of outdoor activities, where I quickly stepped into leadership roles and built confidence in creating meaningful, guest-focused experiences. Over time, I continued guiding in more rugged environments and eventually took on a lead role, where I learned how to blend adventure with a high level of service.

These experiences shaped how I guide today creating experiences that feel seamless, personal, and memorable.

In March of 2026, after a challenging winter season, I decided to stop building someone else’s dream and finally pursue my own. Baby Bear Outdoor had been an idea in the back of my mind since 2019 but the truth was, I was waiting.

And then I realized what was I waiting for?

With Northern Michigan as my backyard, it was time to stop running away and start building something of my own.

The name Baby Bear comes from a nickname my dad gave me as a child. He’s the reason I feel so connected to this area, and why creating something in Glen Arbor felt so important.

That’s what Baby Bear Outdoor is built on
